8 months agoWe stayed here at the end of February and our room was brilliant you have the choice between the shared rooms or a private room, car parking for a few extra $ there games plenty of thing to do around the venue. Washing Machines, a Kitchen for guest overall a brilliant place to stay. We stayed for 5 days and I was confused when we didn’t have any room service, just to check in replace any Toiletries or Towels, but that was no big issue at all (this was also my first time at a backpacker so if this is all backpackers my bad) But overall I’d stay here again. THANKS PICKLED FROG STAFF P.S: Shout out to Jamie for being brilliant over the phone and helping us out before we came down. Incredibly helpful guy.

9 months agoI do recommend this place, but know what you are getting yourself into. I slept in a 14 person dorm and honestly it wasn't bad. Yes people were moving in and out, and there were no luggage locks. However, for the price and charm of the place you can't beat it. The common areas are great and do promote and good sense of a hostel culture. It was probably an old bar because there are booths and a weird layout that works The paintings and decor in the place is that of a weird acid trip at times in the upstairs area. Lastly, the travelers were friendly. Aussie has a lot of working holiday travelers so compared to places like Portugal, Spain, SEA, and such, the culture can be a bit less. Totally understandable as many Backpackers are working. Still there was a good culture here and people did want to talk and do things together

10 months agoI am so impressed with the staff and the other respectful people who stay here. People/ staff/ guests, go out of there way to help you. The staff are amazing. I locked myself out of my room and the staff left a spare key in the lock box for me. Bathrooms/ showers were always clean and tidy. Kitchen is well appointed > microwave/ air fryer. Fridges, stoves. Salt/pepper/oil supplied. I left wine and ciders in the fridges and days later they were still there. The position is less than 150 steps from the intercity bus stop and close to salamanca markets, constitution dock. You are close/ walking distance to everything. I highly recommend this hostel.
