2 months agoWhen we first walked into the resort, en route to reception, we were greeted by a domestic assistant. Considering their role at the resort, I thought this was an especially warm gesture. Great first impression. At the reception, we were attended to by Sarah who informed us that we had been upgraded to the Deluxe Oceanside Tent which was a lovely surprise. Throughout our stay, Sarah was friendly, well-spoken and excelled at customer service. There was another worker called Nick (?) in the reception area who would take the time to talk with my son. My son loves to chat, especially about dinosaurs. My son really appreciated these interactions. All the staff I interacted with and witnessed at Discovery Rottnest were professional and well-presented. Thank you to the Discovery Rottnest Team for making my son’s birthday weekend extra special!

in the last weekGood location and tent based rooms. Location was perfect for exploring. Unfortunately felt a bit like a Butlins during the day and communal areas felt a little gruby at peak times. Average breakfast. Staff on reception were really lovely.

3 weeks agoI was so looking forward to staying at Discovery resort on beautiful Rottnest Island. Unfortunately, my Dad passed away days before the start of our trip and we obviously cancelled it. Qantas and all other bookings we'd made agreed to postpone or refund their services. Booking.com made a request for the same to Discovery resorts, who refused any kind of mitigation, no refund even partial, no rebooking, no voucher. If you value dealing with humans able to show empathy rather than money-obsessed robots, I suggest you stay somewhere else.

a month agoLoved it all. A quokka did sneak in probably during cleaning but didn't leave a mess. He was just quietly drinking. We found him in the shower and loved it. He seemed a bit confused too about what we were doing in his home

2 months agoWe had a great stay at the resort. Alex at reception made us feel very welcome from the start and explained everything perfectly. The tent was huge and comfy and very private. The on site restaurant, 'Pinky's, menu is a bit limited and basic but our tent had a bbq so we decided to cook on one night.of our stay.
