a month agoHad a nice comfortable sleep, especially with decent AC in the humid weather. The toilets and showers are shared, but its clean and were lucky, our room is next to it. The receptionist was really nice and it's not far from the city centre- easily accessible by 10min bus or 6min drive. Great value overall!

a week agoThis was probably one of my first budget friendly places I've stayed at and while the room was alright, I absolutely hated the bathroom! The toilet is right in front of the shower? Like there is no distance, they're right next to each other and it's so awkward. Really hate the bathroom. Plus there's no mat so my mum who's a little older nearly slipped and fell. I won't come back but it wasn't horrible ,just the bathroom.. was atrocious $10 uber to CBD Walking distance to servo and eating places on main road

4 weeks agoLocation is a bit far from the city if you're walking that is. But overall really enjoyed my times here, clean room, share bathroom but they're clean. Very affordable.

a week agoGreat value budget hotel with clean rooms, situated about 2km from the CBD, is a nice walk down the Esplanade. Brand new Hungry Jacks has just opened few minutes away which is a bonus. Shared bathroom facilities which are always clean and serviced regularly. Nice pool area and some parking available inside the resort and ample street parking too. Closes to buses which service all areas of Cairns or about $10 in an Uber to the CBD.

2 months agoWhere do I start? This place is awful, and I would not recommend it unless you are absolutely desperate and on a tight budget. The pool was green. There is about ten car spaces for the 70 odd rooms. The common areas, including the shared showers and toilets, are grubby at best, and the shower was either scalding if you waited 5 min, or freezing. There was a bloodstain that appeared on the wall of the stairwell on our first night that was still there when we checked out three days later. The room initially looked ok-ish, however the closer we looked the more grime we saw. The TV only half worked, the beds were awful and we had to go down and ask reception for towels every day. There were roaches in our room on our final night. The doors only had push button locks, so basically none. The external door to the building was left propped open day and night. Staff were friendly and the location was central, but that is it. Steer well clear.
