a month agoTwo words: affordable and convenient. This is a great little hostel pretty central to all the activities in Cairns, close to restaurants, the marina, and the lagoon. The staff were kind. They seem to do some group/socializing activities but I felt that they weren't super organized. The yoga changed times a few times, but the pancake breakfast was nice!! The kitchen is phenomenal. I would consider staying here again! It was relaxing and calm, which differs from what I've heard about the party vibe of other nearby hostels.

in the last weekWe stayed in a private en-suite room. This was fantastic. The room was like staying in a nice 3* hotel and then could walk out into the hostel and benefit from shared kitchen facilities. Afterwards we were travelling to Port Douglas. We were struggling to find an affordable way to travel there. Thank you so much to the member of staff who advised us that Premier Shuttles offered good value transfers as this saved us some money compared to other companies we had found online.

a month agoProbably my least favourite hostel I have stayed at along the east coast. To start you have to put your own sheets on your bed and the rooms are tiny and cannot fit all the back packs and suitcases. I personally had a massive ant infestation in mine too. Beds are comfy and never had a problem with the staff.

3 months agoNice clean hostel, nice open space up in the kitchen/social area with a balcony overlooking the lagoon etc. Lots on offer down in reception which is great. Only downside is it's right on a main strip so it can be quite noisy, especially at the weekend - earplugs recommended! Otherwise really liked the hostel and would recommend

5 months agoCleanest hostel I’ve ever been! It even has a cold room to put your food, and ocean view balcony just outside the kitchen. Lots of chill spaces and excellent location. Only thing I disliked is that you have to make your own bed.
