a month agoWe loved this caravan park and its location. Our caravan site was about 20 metres from Wallis lake making it easy to put in our kayaks. The lake is quite shallow near shore and would be good for kids to paddle/swim. The lake was great for kayaking. Across the road is a beautiful long beach, waves were dumpy though so we didn"t swim. Fires were allowed at your site. Site size was ok and park allows dogs. About 10 mins drive to beautiful Forster. Oh and the sunsets across the lake...beautiful!

3 weeks agoWe recently spent four nights at Tiona Caravan Park and had an amazing experience! One of the standout features of this park is its unique location, with easy access to both a beautiful surf beach and a serene lake, just a short walk from either side of the park. This dual access made our stay incredibly special, offering the best of both water worlds. The park’s amenities are top-notch, always clean and well-maintained, making our stay very comfortable. The grounds are kept in excellent condition, providing a relaxing atmosphere throughout the park. Additionally, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, greeting us with warmth and friendly smiles every day. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome. Overall, Tiona Caravan Park is a gem for those looking to enjoy a mix of beach and lakeside activities with the comfort of great facilities and an inviting environment. Highly recommended for families, couples, or solo travelers seeking a peaceful coastal getaway!

2 weeks agoBooked four nights and stayed for two. Worst place we’ve stayed. Booked a beachfront site and the beech is not visible for scrub and trees. The road noise is ridiculous. Slightly less at night but still cars and trucks passing meters from the site with no noise barriers. Trees constantly dropping large nuts on the car and van that sounded like golf balls. I can’t tell if it has caused dents as I haven’t gotten all the sap off our new car yet. Would never stay again. Such a disappointment.

5 months agoIt can be noisy on the road, but this is a place my family visits every year. The sea on one side and the river on the other. It's great to take your dog, and the bathroom is clean.
